Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler talked about how Natalya was making history at the Royal Rumble last night when she did the double Sharpshooter on Layla and Eve Torres. Natalya actually first did the move on Layla and Michelle McCool back at WWE’s TLC pay-per-view in December, during the Divas Tables Match where she teamed with Beth Phoenix to take on LayCool.
Word is that the WWE Divas Title match being changed to a Fatal 4 Way match at the Royal Rumble was planned before last night. T-shirts being sold for the event featured the Fatal 4 Way instead of the Handicap Match originally advertised.

In an update on an earlier report regarding Gail Kim performing as a heel at last night’s WWE Supershow in Springfield, MA (due to her partnership with Maryse), according to Diva-Dirt.com, The Bella Twins actually portrayed the heels in the tag team match. Additionally, Maryse portrayed a tweener during the bout, but attacked Kim following its conclusion.

Former Diva Debuts in Japan
Former WWE Diva Serena made her Japanese debut this weekend for former WWE star Tajiri’s SMASH promotion. Serena defeated Syrui in an afternoon match and Makoto in a match later that evening. On the same show, FCF Champion Tajiri defeated former WWE star Super Crazy but later lost his title to Michael Kovac.

Smackdown Results: Kaitlyn's Not so Flawless Debut...
Last night’s episode of Smackdown saw the not so Flawless debut of NXT season 3 winner Kaitlyn. She teamed up with Kelly Kelly to take on LayCool, and ended up losing the match for her team. We also saw Kelly get rejected by Drew…I think, and way to much of Vickie!

Phoenix Wants Another Go at the Rumble

Diva Search Update
It was disclosed at a WWE-sponsored web conference yesterday that the Diva Search competition would be brought back to company programming. The concept will reportedly be similar to NXT as the contestants would be mentored by WWE Divas. Additionally, it is said that company officials will make a concentrated effort to recruit female talent from the independent wrestling scene.
